Matching Gift Programs
Many companies have matching gift programs that enable employees to devote even more funds to the charities they find meaningful. Companies with matching gift programs typically make matching donations in the same amount as their employees, and some even double the amount of an employee’s donation.
Companies large and small are working to combat histiocytic disorders with matching gifts programs. You can help by asking your human resources department or your manager if your employer participates in a matching gift program.
If your employer does have a matching gift program, just follow these steps to set up your company’s participation with the Histiocytosis Association.
- Obtain a matching gift program form from your human resources department
- Complete this form with the information about your donation
- Mail the form to the Histiocytosis Association or fax it to +1 856-589-6614
Many companies use forms that are available to their employees online while others mail forms directly to the Histiocytosis Association. In recent years, the majority of companies post a request on a company-specific, matching gift website; they then send an email to our finance department at email@example.com requesting that the Association verify the matched gift.
